Finally, we have survived the Semester examinations.
What awaits us is the next 7 weeks or so of holidays.
The lucky ones are concerned with what movies to catch, how many pool / LAN games to play, while the rest of us are busy looking for part time jobs.

But, what’s funny / amazing / astonishing / (whatever the best description there is), are some of the common things that happens during the examination periods.

1st point
Some mother’s son or daughter will get chicken pox. Year in, year out, there will always be a few unlucky souls who will have their preparations affected by these “PIMPLES”.

2nd point
Our sleep patterns will become hay-wire… Study till wee hours of the day, sleep while everyone else is at work or in school. Our body clock gets all mixed up, and most of us would need the next few days to catch up on sleep, and resume normal activities.

3rd point,
We will flood all places possible to mug. National Library, Changi Airport, Some MacDonald restaurants / Star Bucks …… Armed with our / photocopied notes from friends, past year papers, tips, … … so on and so forth.

4th point,
You will always miss some Big Event. Your Favourite TV show, some big Soccer Match. Or something dramatic would have happened, Break-ups, A Nasty Fall, the passing of a relative…

Final point,
We all put on weight. Admit it… cravings for everything under the sun will appear out of nowhere. Chocolates, Chips, Ice Cream, Satays… … so what’s ahead is to take some time off to get rid of that flabby tummy of yours… NOW.

Well, Good Luck on the Release of the Results…that’s just a couple of weeks away. And yes, enjoy while you can…

Good Day.

Since i have some time to spare, here's some nice football poems spotted on the net...enjoy!

Jose Mourinho to himself
Boro are red
Chelsea are blue
They gave us a hiding
But I still love you.

Steven Gerrard to girlfriend
AlexI do love you, la
But I really despair
When you spend all me money
On clothes you don't wear

Robbie Fowler to Liverpool
You were my first love,
Of that there's no doubt
I'll get you a goal
Before the year's out

Sven to the FA
Thanks to that sheikh,
You gave me the 'sack'
When I win the World Cup
You'll come running back

Frank Rijkaard to Jose
I think i love you Jose,
With your wit and filmstar looks
But your handsome face can't hide
the fact your team's a bunch of crooks.
Credit to you, Jose,
You play the long ball well,
But with Ronny, Etoo and Messi back
You've got no chance in hell!

Peter Crouch to Sven-Goran Eriksson
I try to catch your eye
By not being too fancy
I may not have the looks
But I'm taller than Nancy

Steve Bruce to his board
Defences so frail,
Impotent to scoreI
hope you still love me
Beyond the trap door

Souness to Newcastle
I really miss youI
n your black and whiteI
know I'd still be there
If I wasn't so sh***

Rooney's Ode to Coleen
Coleen you mean the world to me
You make glad to be alive
The only bad thing about you girl
Is that you're under sixty five

Barton to City
I'm sorry about what I did
Requesting that transfer was a bummer
I guess I'm just a stupid kid
Now I'm stuck here till the summer

Arsenal to press
Arsenal in red,
Sol Campbells feeling blue,
Pires is a cheat,
And Reyes is too

The Boumsong confession!
Sorry boss
I never play well
I cost 8.5m
What's left to tell?

Sunderland board to Mick McCarthy
C'mon Mick, we know you're feeling blue
but the entire board still stands behind you...
however, lose the next game McCarthy
and it's time for a new manager's welcoming-party !

Thierry Henry to Arsenal.
I love it here
I really do
But come next year
I'll be in red and blue

Bryan Robson to his players
My Baggie Boys
I love 'em to bits
But I was sick as a parrot
When Fulham hit us for six

Once a year, you experience the feeling of getting older, wiser and hopefully more matured on your birthday...
However, you probably have a special feeling for this particular, but , don't be.

In Singapore alone, there are probably around 11000 other person sharing the same birthday as you. (that's a 4 million population figure divided by 365 days).

Anyway, turning older to me probably dun feel particularly special or indifferent, it just feels increasing pressurizing in a Chinese family, with relatives more eager for you to get married than you do... CNY period...you know what i mean.

anyway, my birthday wish is probably to successfully silent mug for my up-coming exams and do well, lose a bit of weight, treat my "beyond-repair" ankles and maybe, just maybe find a nice gal...

See ya .

Was browsing through the papers a couple of days ago, where I came across this article, which, to me, was kinda contradictive.

It was a travel guide, where the writer gave readers some tips to help travelers from America and Europe coming to Asia. However, if one is suppose to enjoy his vacation as well as to sample Asia and its rich culture, the following checklist is not exactly logical.

Abstracts:

Drink only canned or bottled beverages. Never use ice. Wipe the cans & bottles before drinking.

Use bottled water to brush your teeth.

Avoid raw food, including meat / fish and salad dressings…etc

Don’t buy food & drinks from street vendors

Take a kit with medicine for (diarrhoea, cold, motion sickness, upset stomach, cuts & scrapes, bug bites & sunburn)

Now.

Personally, I would at least get the necessary vaccines before any trips, buy travel insurances, and prepare a well-equipped medical kit.

But, if you do not give street food fare a try, and practice so much caution while drinking water, then I would feel that it would not be a true travel experience. For instance, sampling hawker food is probably one of the most authentic ways to taste local food. And your actions while cleaning your bottled water might also offend your hosts.

However, I would take into considerations about traveling arrangements, if backpacking – planning for the trip / read the maps in advance and understand the country better in terms of weather amongst other preparations would be necessary.

Cheers.
