5 Things I hate about my School.
Studying in NYP has been Rather Alright so far, but there are some things I really hate about the school. So here’s the List:
1. Every Morning, the human traffic to the School is not really fantastic. The Covered Walkway tends to get crowded during the peak hours of 8-10 am. The security guard standing like some pest at the walkway is not helping to ease the traffic either. So, is it time to review the width of the walkway? Or will there be any other forms of improvement?
2. Every time you go home, when you probably wants to take a short cut, a.k.a. exit the main building through the door at the right of the atrium, the same bloody guard in the morning is there to stop you. (if you are a student, you will know)
3. The students / staffs working at the Cheers outlet in school. Nothing is wrong with them, nor the products. It is just that they KEEP ASKING WHETHER WE HAVE THE EXACT CHANGE for the purchases we make. WHY? They never have enough coins all the time, What the HELL? Things got to change man…
4. Since I study at the School of Business, I realize that there are not enough Male toilets around. Most floors have a ratio of about 1:4 male toilets to female toilets. But the proportion of students of both gender is more equal now. So… are you listening NYP?
5. Anderson Junior College students…patronizing our school’s MacDonalds and Food Junction during Peak hours. If you come after peak hours of 12-2pm, then fine. Carry on eating, no one will stop you. But when we are rushing to grab lunch, in between lectures/tutorials, pls stay in your own school. I believe you have a canteen there. I seriously do.
6. Rainy days are a hassle @ NYP. At the business blocks, it gets flooded, and at most times, presents many dangerous traps, such as slippery stairs and corridors. I have known of people hurting themselves as a result. The drainage system needs improving. Fast.
7. A certain lecturer / tutor. Let’s call him Terence (not his real name). The problem with him is such that he does not exactly teach his students. Boring lecturers come and go, so I understand. But he is one exceptional person. When is the last time your teacher do not teach you anything, and ask you to only follow the instructions of your textbook and carry on with your work, while he takes endless breaks. No doubt, my grades for his module - my poorest in my result slips. Statistics don’t lie.
